Scenario-Based Teambuilding Workshops

The Challenge

Sales and product management stakeholders in my organization identified a need for light, team-building style workshops that could be delivered in short, engaging formats.  As the instructional designer tasked with developing the workshops, my challenge was to design a scalable solution that balanced “fun” with meaningful professional development, while appealing to both learners and federal government training buyers. Additionally, I sought to innovate by experimenting with AI-driven video development tools to create fresh, immersive experiences that would stand out.

A key feature of the learning experiences was videos I developed using Vyond's AI avatar tool to depict the federal fraud case scenarios. I combined the AI avatar technology with stock footage to deliver a true crime-style learner experience.

The Result

Since development and product launch, stakeholders have expressed strong enthusiasm for the immersive, documentary-style design and innovative use of AI avatars. The design has been praised as both engaging for learners and well-aligned with business and learner needs. Early feedback from sales also indicates interest from multiple training buyers.
